Dear Jan:

I have just completed a final re-reading of the manuscript to catch a few more of the typographical errors and to make a few changes. I am enclosing four pages to be substituted for the ones that you now have, and also a list of corrections. I did not list the obvious one-letter mistakes, which you will no doubt pick up as you go along. With these corrections you should have a good copy; however, I have a copy that I have corrected to include all of the changes that I have made in the original, and if you would prefer to have one that is sure to be up to date, I will trade with you.

As matters now stand, it appears that I will have more time to finish the checking of the references than you will, so if you will bundle together what you now have on hand and send it to me, I will get busy on the rest of the job.

Sincerely,
