Dear Dewey:

Enclosed please find two copies of your article on the Big Bang, retyped on the word-processor (this allows me to make as many free copies as I like). I have started to distribute it to various interested parties, and will be writing again to Dr. Gribbin shortly. I am also taking a short working vacation in Toronto for the next week or so, and will try again to make some headway with the CBC.

I have talked to Ronald Satz this week, and we have agreed that I should send a letter to the trustees, proposing to host the next ISUS meeting in New York, on the campus of Columbia University. I have made inquiries as to dormitory accommodations, and they appear to be reasonably priced; classroom space is also available. The only stipulation was that the conference take place before August l0th; that seems to be within range of past tradition, and also fits into Ronald’s plans to attend a Libertarian Party conference in Arizona later in the month. I would like to check with you and with Dorothy if this would be convenient for you before making definite arrangements. The air connections to New York are usually quite good from almost any place and not overly expensive. Columbia University is a very pleasant spot to hold a meeting—it has a self-contained campus, and there are accommodations and places to eat close by. I would make arrangements for you to be picked up at the airport. My apartment is big enough to hold the customary reception, and the Friday night banquet would be easy to arrange. If all this sounds alright to you, and if the trustees agree, Ronald will send you a formal invitation to come and address the meeting.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon,
