Dear Dewey:
Enclosed is a copy of a letter from a “John Gribben” to a “Jan Stammer.” I am afraid this sort of thing is symptomatic of the man’s scholarship. Any publicity may be good, but your book most certainly does not belong in a column on speculations in science. Still, it will be interesting to see what, if anything, he will write. I think he means that he does not want to publish your article; perhaps it should be submitted somewhere else now. I am sorry that this has not turned out better, but I will keep trying.
