If you have not completed the final corrections, I would like to make one more change. On page 116 (Chapter 6) it will probably save me the trouble of doing considerable explaining if I make it clear that my conclusions are based on the interior of the star being in the condensed gas state. I would like to change the third sentence of the last paragraph to read as follows:
But, in fact, the pressure to which the atoms of the condensed gas are subject is not significantly altered by the cooling that results when (and if) the energy generation ceases.
If you have gone too far to make this change without getting into problems, just forget it.
